February 27, 2008

Dear Liberty Dollar Supporters:

FLASH: Without a doubt, the BIG News is the electronic Liberty Dollar is Back! I am thrilled to announce that the NEW eLibertyDollar (eLD) - Liberty Dollar in digital form - is now available. Very new. Very improved. Check out these key features:

Low rates based on silver spot

Available now on our shopping cart. Click HERE

Instant funding of eLDs to your account

Exchangeable back into USD

Spendable via your debit card

Storage in Switzerland

Still 100% silver backed

100% redeemable in silver

I just posted a blockbuster STATEMENT that details the NEW eLD. Simply CLICK HERE and login with your old eLD username and password to find out how you can lockin silver before the Liberty Dollar Moves Up to the $50 Silver Base and DOUBLE+ your money.

The Liberty Dollar is already two weeks into the Move Up! Its 1/3 the way through the 45 days to the $50 Silver Base. Are you ready to 2.5XY$ on March 23?

As most of you know, when the government raided the warehouse in Idaho and confiscated the silver that backed the original eLD, now referred to as OLD eLDs, those eLDs cannot be redeemed until YOUR silver is rightfully returned to the warehouse. Please note your account is still active and you can still transfer eLD between accounts. You just can't redeem your eLD for your silver at this time.

But that has not stopped the silver market. It seems like the silver market just won't listen to the government, nor should our money! Nor should we be barred from the phenomenal potential that precious metals and the Liberty Dollar now presents. Who doesn't want to double their money? In fact, when the Liberty Dollar Moves Up to the $50 Silver Base, all your Liberty Dollars will increase TWO AND A HALF TMES! Want to 2.5XY$? Get some Liberty Dollars!

Thirty Day Moving average (30DMA) on Friday, February 22, 2008, was $16.76. A long way from the Move Up point of $16 and showing every sign that the Liberty Dollar will indeed arise to the $50 Silver Base on Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008!

Wake up America and arise too a new future of sound money that will bring about limited government and the return of individual liberties! We are rushing head long into the future of private voluntary barter currency… regardless if the government likes it or not. If there is a god in economics… it is the marketplace. Please click HERE for all the info on the new eLD and what it can do for you and America.

In other news…

Merchant services are now available on the Shopping Cart. Now you can order and use your bank card for eLDs which are instantly put into your account, get 2008 Silver Liberty Dollars and everything else on the Shopping Cart. Unfortunately, while card service is now available… it is very expensive at 5%! Please understand that is a significant cost that Liberty Dollar must bear to provide you this service. As the vast majority of orders are place on line, that cost must be reflected in all our pricing. Just another way the power-to-be act against your interest to protect your purchasing power and support the Liberty Dollar.

I regret to inform you that the attorney I retained failed to make any progress toward the return of YOUR silver to the warehouse. In fact, Robert C. Huntley acted un-ethically and was terminated, unfortunately and unjustly he kept an unreasonably large part of the retainer. I have nothing good to say about the disgraceful attorney, Robert C. Huntley in Boise Idaho. If you know an honest attorney in Idaho, please let me know.

Regarding Ron Paul. I support Ron Paul's presidential campaign and enjoy him "popularizing"* the Liberty Dollar before Congress but his statement before the US House of Representatives on February 13, 2008 was incorrect. Congressman Paul said, "The second step to reestablishing competing currencies is to eliminate laws that prohibit the operation of private mints." There are approx. a dozen legal private mints in the United States. Osborne Mint of Cincinnati, America's oldest, dates back to 1835. Plus there is no need to legalize "private currencies". They are legal already! There is NO law against any of the private currencies including the Liberty Dollar… and we don't need any damn approval in a Republic form of government. We need a lot less government, please, Congressman Paul!

Here are two incredible videos about Hitler vs. Ron Paul:
http://www.freedomsphoenix.com/Feature-Article.htm?InfoNo=029305&From=News

Annual National Tour: As we get close to "March"… it is not too early to organize an event in your area and invite me to stop by this summer. The event can be almost anything… legal. This year will be my "Tenth Annual Tour". It is sure to kick ass and be packed with lots of fun… if I am not in jail! Quite frankly, given how slow the government is… and how fast the market is running… I have already started planning the Tour. So if you would like me to stop by, please take the lead, organize an event and let me know your plans. My Tour, just in case FBI Agent Andy is reading this, usually starts in Florida, runs north to New England, Evansville, Midwest, LA, Vancouver, Idaho, Midwest, Texas, and back to Florida from Mid July to mid November, four months, driving 20,000 miles of fun, fun, fun in support of the Liberty Dollar. Please let me know if your are going to take action and participate with an event… because if I don't hear from you… you will probably not hear from me… as there is a lot happening…

If you are headed to IRS Tax Court… you may want to attend the legendary Robert Clarkson's upcoming Tax Court Preparation, March 15-16 in Columbia, South Carolina. The two day-long seminar will explain how to handle your case and conduct yourself in any court action. Visit www.PatriotNetwork.info for more info or contact Robert Clarkson at robert@patriotnetwork.info or 864.225.3061 in Anderson SC. Please mention the Liberty Dollar to Robert who was also raided by Agent Andy who raided the Liberty Dollar.

On a very positive note… There are many many Good Americans who had a great amount confiscated in the Raid and still see the benefit of the Liberty Dollar. Here are the unsolicited comments ofMatt Pitagora, just such an individual and fellow RCO who has made a stand with his own EVERGREEN Hallmarked Liberty Dollar:

Thanks to a friend, I discovered REAL MONEY that is gold and silver, back 1998.

Upon completing G. Edward Griffin's chilling expose of the Federal Reserve, "Creature from Jekyll Island" in 2001, I sprung into action and immediately discovered the Liberty Dollar.

In 2004 I became an LD RCO.

In 2005 I wrote a short book entitled "The Liberty Dollar Story" which I published in January 2006, and still hand out freely to this very day (I can mail a few copies if you wish).

In February 2006 I quit my job in electronics and took over a water store (www.evh2o.com) so that I could better understand the Liberty Dollar from the perspective of my primary customer: the local, retail merchant.

My merchant list expanded until September 2006, when I (and all RCOs) received a letter from the United States Mint claiming that I was engaged in illegal activity per anonymous "prosecutors" within the justice department. Concurrently, the Mint published a damning public warning on their web site.

As Bernard has stated often, "merchants are chickens," which held true in that not only was it virtually impossible to add merchants, I also had merchants asking to be removed from my directory.

Thus began the interminable "wait and see" period.

I began focusing my efforts towards gaining Liberty Associates, and picked up a steady stream of discount customers, while at the same time I have encountered relative success in handing silver and copper Libertys as change to my regular retail customers.

In March 2007, the Liberty Dollar sued the U.S. Treasury and DOJ, and a glimmer of hope parted the oppressive darkness of "public servant" market intervention.

November 14th, 2007 changed it all. On that day, I personally lost, without arrest, indictment or any due process:
3203 ounces of silver
2000 ounces of copper
8 ounces of gold

This seizure of my personal assets essentially equates to the elimination of my retirement fund, although thankfully I still maintain sufficient inventory with which to keep my Liberty Dollar business functioning through these dark times.

Ironically, or appropriately, the raid has garnered more positive publicity than (arguably) the $1.2 FRNs worth of metal could have purchased, and the Ron Paul phenomenon has assisted us greatly in this regard.

Business IS good, and now that we have a new product, while continuing to maintain the moral high ground, the Liberty Dollar will ultimately prevail against the forces of "public service" who seek in vain to eliminate our Constitutionally compliant, and noble business endeavors.

Please peruse my web site in order to better understand my perspective on the Liberty Dollar. www.libertydollarofsanjose.org

February 26, 2008

What thrilling rallies we've just had in Texas. First there were the Students for Ron Paul at the University of Texas in Austin. The media said 4,000 came. Our people think there were more like 7,000. In any event, it was a very enthusiastic gathering of our revolutionaries, as even the media admitted.

You will not be surprised to know that the young people there cheered the pure message of liberty: no preemptive wars, no Federal Reserve, no income tax, no police state, no drug war. Just American liberty and the Constitution, in the tradition of the framers.

But the rally in Kileen, though much smaller, may have been just as significant. Kileen is near Fort Hood, and among the 300 people who attended were many active-duty soldiers (though not in uniform) and their families. Whether it was the young man going back to Iraq for his fourth tour, or the sister of a soldier just killed there, they all wanted change in our foreign policy. Most heartbreaking was the young mother who asked for a signed copy of the Constitution for her son, "who will never know his dad." He too was just killed in Iraq.

How can we ask one young American to die for a neocon empire? The soldiers and their families agree with us, which is why our campaign gets more financial support from active-duty and retired military than all the rest combined. They want to defend America, not be part of some globalist scheme to take away our country's independence. And by the way ,at both rallies, nobody was for the monstrous Trans-Texas Corridor or the North American Union.

Coming up soon are the Texas and Ohio primaries, with others like Pennsylvania not long afterwards. We are contesting every one, and we will be heard at the Republican national convention in Minneapolis and beyond. A substantial minority of Americans in all parties, not to speak of Independents, agree with you and me. Until November and beyond, I want to work to turn that minority into a majority, with your help. https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate/

Sincerely,

Ron
V!

Posted by Paul Bear (www.RonPaulite.com)

Dear Dr. Paul, PLEASE Consider All The Options!

Dear Dr. Paul,

The other day, a man I had introduced your campaign to, asked me this question:

"I am determined to remain independent," he said, "but I will vote for Ron Paul if he is on the ballot come election day. Do you think there is any chance that Ron Paul will be on the ballot next November?"

That is the 20, 30+ (?), million dollar question. I wished with all my heart that I could absolutely assure him, and so many like him, that YES, Ron Paul will for certain be on the ballot come election day, 2008! Especially do I wish this, given the amazing wildfire of ground support (and sky support, don't forget), record-breaking fundraising efforts, and all of the heartfelt sacrificial effort--strenuous unforgiving effort--which has attended your campaign. It attended your campaign, that is, up until the time when many got the hopefully erroneous idea, that your campaign is essentially winding down now, following the unofficial coronation of McCain by the GOP, as their nominee (even while Republicans in my own state, and in many others, have still had absolutely no say in the process).

While I urge you to keep running Republican, for the time being, in order to give EVERY state a say--at least in theory (because masses turn, when told that the contest is over)--I also plead with you to PLEASE reconsider all of your options for an eventual third party run. I ask you to do it for the sake of the principles, which ignited a rEVOLution, and in light of the enormous efforts and the unprecedented expense already put out by your supporters. Many of your supporters deep down never expected you to actually obtain the Republican nomination, given the great deal of corruption and suppression taking place in corporatized party politics. However, most of those same supporters knew exactly why you had to START with the Republican party, in order to be taken seriously at all; and in order to build a real support base--which you have, if you will only run with it beyond the Republican party confines.

We love you, Dr. Paul, because you gave multitudes of disillusioned voters, a hope for the preservation of America's core values, in a dark time, when we had lost nearly ALL hope that America could again return from its increasingly high-handed abandonment of its own fundamentals--its own DNA of real liberty (the kind, which means more than president Bush's speech-writer rhetoric). The other candidates still running for president leave the more principled of American voters cold--even icy--those voters who still believe in the revolutionary concept of personal liberty, ensured by an absolute Bill of Rights!

Many of us are now feeling an indescribable let down, after hearing your repeated refusals to even consider an eventual third party run (we knew that you HAD to say it, but we hoped you didn't HEARTILY mean it, when you said it), because that has been the secret hope we've been harboring all along, and basing our fervent continued support for you upon.

I sense this is true of the majority of your supporters, who in reality come from circles far wider than the Republican party can possibly encompass. Your appeal is much wider than this Republican primary run has given you credit for, too, and your ability to reach out to your total possible base has been stymied by your party's hostility toward your most foundational principles. Liberals, and all of those who like to label themselves "progressives", are as much secretly--sometimes openly--attracted to you as are real conservatives, but they have not been given the opportunity, yet, to even choose you, because of your Republican attachment.

Justin Gardner of Donklephant.com once pointed out that your demographics are vastly different from the demographics of past third party candidates--even from your own prior third party bid--and he was RIGHT! You have at your disposal--if you will take it, and run with it--the energies of a true rEVOLution in American politics. No past third party candidate, has ever experienced the populist fervor that you have tasted, but the first wave of, in the last year. If any person ever had a chance to do well in a third party bid, it is YOU, NOW! Your running third party in this election, could just possibly be the very thing to help America finally break itself out of the confining narrow mold of our two-party big government exclusionary gridlocked system!

Adding to other reasons for you to consider taking this unique opportunity, is the fact that there are leftist politicians now throwing their hats into the third party ring. The very presence of a widely known--and feared (why else would they work so hard to suppress you?)--conservative to balance the third party offering, might in itself open minds to a genuine consideration of the outside-of-the-box contest, to a greater extent than ever before. Millions are now longing for an "OTHER" option in this race, and if you deprive those voters of having your name at least on the ballot next November, as an official option, then you may have taken away their only possible incentive to even cast their ballots at all! The spirit in America is ripe for you, if you will only dare to open your sail and harness it!

Your campaign has needed more time, anyway, to inform more Americans about our message of liberty! They STILL don't know you, because you've been widely blacked out. This is your chance to GET the additional time you need, to make up for the media's refusal to fully inform their trusting viewers about all their options.

It is with the deepest sense of respect for YOUR intentions, Dr. Paul, that I remind you just how your campaign began, and how it has been driven by, the urgings of your supporters--in spite of your intentions--who saw in you a rare politician of principle, and possibly the last best hope to turn our country back from the dreadful brink we are now teetering upon. It was not your intention to run, then, but you still responded to the urgings of supporters, as to a voice of prophetic urging. So now we appeal to you, again--a great deal MORE supporters than knew you then--in much the same spirit, to PLEASE open yourself up to a third party--or even dual party--run!

I will still vote for you, come November, whether you are on my ballot or no, but so many millions MAY just vote for you--in an overwhelming surprise to the arrogant establishment--if you simply make sure that your name somehow GETS there! Please give Americans a REAL CHOICE! The Republican primary gives but a handful that real choice, and the most influential of the handful end up being media-washed neocons living in Iowa--hardly a representative sample of the entire rest of the country (which was told, following Iowa, that you had NO chance--a self-fulfilling prophecy).

Please think about it.

Cordially,
"Paul Bear" (www.RonPaulite.com)

Texas-sized Liar Smearing Ron Paul

What can YOU do about this (story below)?
by Thomas E. Woods, Jr.

On January 12, 2007, a Texas city councilman named Chris Peden told the Galveston Daily News, "I have an immense amount of respect for Ron Paul. Politics has a way of forcing people to go against their core principles for political gain. That has never been the case for Ron Paul."

In case you don’t know, Chris Peden is now Ron Paul’s congressional challenger in the Republican primary in Texas’ 14th District.

What happened to make Peden go from an admirer to an opponent – and not just an opponent, but one who is running a vicious and (as he surely realizes) dishonest smear campaign against the very man he so recently praised?

I have no idea.

But here’s an indication of just what a classy guy he is: all throughout Peden’s campaign website, his professional head shot sits next to a silly photo of Dr. Paul – the kind of photo every human being on earth has taken a zillion times, but which in this case is presumably intended as a stark contrast to the sobriety and deep thinking of Chris Peden.

That’s one of the benefits of running for public office against a gentleman: you can do childish and dishonorable things all campaign long in the full knowledge that your opponent is too decent to reciprocate.

Thankfully, you don’t even need to visit Peden’s website. We’ve already heard every thought he’s ever had every fifteen seconds for years and years.

Thus we read: "I think Islamo-Fascist terrorists were responsible for the 9/11 attacks; the incumbent thinks America’s Middle East policies were responsible for the attacks." (Yes, he really is talking down to his potential constituents like this.) The terrorists "wish to destroy our way of life because they abhor freedom, democracy, and liberty." We should continue to encourage democracy around the world "even if it takes the remainder of the century."

You know what that means – lots and lots of war. And you know what it also means: the politician uttering these inanities has no intention of disclosing the tiniest hint as to where the money for these fantasies is going to come from, what with bankruptcy on our very doorstep.

Being a neoconservative means never having to explain, well, anything.

Assuming Peden has an IQ above 50, he knows he is misrepresenting Ron Paul’s position. Dr. Paul’s argument, which is shared by top terrorism experts, is that our government’s expensive and counterproductive foreign policy has stirred up more trouble than it has alleviated. He’s saying kind of what Russell Kirk – the founder of the modern conservative movement, and no "liberal" – said after the first Persian Gulf War. Good thing for Peden he’s never heard of Kirk.

When the Ayatollah Khomeini called for jihad on the United States in the early 1980s, it went nowhere. When bin Laden called for the same thing but on the specific grounds that the US refuses to leave the Muslim world alone, fighters flocked to his banner. Could it be that our government’s dumb foreign policy, in addition to wrecking our economy, is actually making us less secure?

I’ve explained all of this here.

We also learn that Ron Paul, who has been married to the same woman for 51 years and has five children, 18 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, doesn’t believe in "traditional family values." Peden draws this conclusion on the basis of Dr. Paul’s votes against unconstitutional legislation that would decide social policy at the federal level – you know, the kind of voting record you compile when you favor the "smaller government" that Peden himself falsely claims to support.

Ron Paul "weakens our economy," Peden says, because he doesn’t believe in supranational trade bureaucracies that can dictate tax and regulatory policy to member states – the very thing Republicans rightly opposed half a century ago when it took the form of the International Trade Organization. In those days, supporters of the free market knew a boondoggle when they saw one.

Peden says that opposing the World Trade Organization and NAFTA is "exactly the approach that led us to the Great Depression." Now much as I’d love to hear Peden’s entire collection of learned insights into the Great Depression – really, Peden has done us all a grave disservice over the course of his career by confining his remarks on the subject to this single sentence – I’m still inclined to stick with Ron Paul, who could write a treatise on the causes of the Great Depression off the top of his head.

Of course, as the Federal Reserve’s policies lead the country and the world to the brink of another depression, it is Ron Paul alone who stands tall as the one politician who told the truth all these years about what the geniuses who run our monetary policy have been up to. It is Ron Paul who spoke truth to power, and who understood what Austrian business cycle theory has to teach us about the inevitable devastation that results from expanding the money supply through credit markets.

I wonder, on the other hand, whether Chris Peden even knows what business cycle theory is, but if his bumper-sticker thoughts on the economy are any indication, I probably already know the answer.

As with so many other politicians, the message of "change" turns out to be more of the same. The Federal Reserve has wrecked the dollar and inflated the housing bubble? Then more of the same is just what we need. Or at least that’s what I assume Peden’s position is. Like every other politician in America, he is completely silent on the issue of money and the Federal Reserve, standing idly by while ordinary Americans are silently ripped off year after year. Chances are, he (again like most politicians) doesn’t know the first thing about it. How else can we explain his failure, in the midst of a Fed-induced downturn, to utter a single word about how we got here?

Over $50 trillion in unfunded entitlement liabilities is coming due in the next few decades. The national debt keeps skyrocketing, the dollar keeps plummeting, the prices of necessities are rising, and the housing bubble is bursting. Ron Paul understands these issues – in fact, he’s the only one in the presidential race who’s bothered to bring them up.

A Martian glancing at Chris Peden’s political positions, on the other hand, could be forgiven for assuming that these problems do not exist. It’s all business as usual, full steam ahead. A financial catastrophe is coming? Why, let’s carry on as before! Is this the Peden message that Republican Party hacks in Texas are so excited about?

The rest of Peden’s propaganda is the same old establishment boilerplate, along with a complaint that Ron Paul doesn’t vote for the pork and the corporate welfare that Peden himself promises to support.

This is the genius who is campaigning against Ron Paul. And not merely campaigning against him, but misrepresenting and smearing a man with a voting record unmatched in all of American history in its commitment to freedom, and whose knowledge of economics, foreign policy, and the Constitution makes him an intellectual giant among Washington’s pygmies.

Now instead of being honored and privileged to be represented by a statesman as accomplished and knowledgeable as Ron Paul, State Republican Executive Committee Chairwoman Kathy Haigler supports the city councilman. "For far too long," she says, "[Congressional District] 14 Republicans have been denied the opportunity to be represented by someone who actually believes in and practices the Republican Party Platform, and now they have the opportunity to vote for a solid conservative who will go to Washington D.C. and vote Republican."

Poor Kathy. She’s had to be represented by a constitutionalist for 12 consecutive years. There’s some serious withdrawal for you: twelve whole years without a business-as-usual, platitude-uttering hack as her congressman. She must be getting the shakes.

All that time, her congressman has been the only constitutionalist in the entire Congress, arguably the greatest congressman in all of American history, and a man who is loved and admired all over the world. Only a city councilman mouthing slogans and propaganda and promising pork and bankruptcy can rescue longsuffering Kathy Haigler from this unspeakable ordeal.

Now I don’t care how much you loved Mitt Romney, but no one, not even members of his own family, compared him to Thomas Jefferson. Yet Ron Paul has been compared to Jefferson and the Founders more times than anyone can count. Judge Andrew Napolitano calls him "the Thomas Jefferson of our day."

Running against him – and, it has to be said, running a vigorous campaign that cannot be taken lightly – is not another Thomas Jefferson, to put it kindly. It is a forgettable city councilman who, if his campaign website is any indication, has never had an interesting thought in his life, and for whom the history books will not have a single thing to say. Well, maybe one thing: how did the American people become so debased that the intellectual and moral mismatch between City Councilman Chris Peden and Congressman Ron Paul could actually have been a contest?

Pretty maddening, isn’t it?

Want to let off some steam? Then go here right now.

I’d say we already have just about enough mouthpieces of official propaganda serving in the US Congress. Is it so much to ask for one – just one – congressman who tells the truth?

February 18, 2008

The DC neocons think their old dream is about to come true. They think they can defeat me in the Republican congressional primary in Texas on March 4th. And you know what? They may be right.

My opponent, who describes himself as a traditional conservative, is a dedicated servitor of all the special interests who have given us the disaster of recent years, from unconstitutional wars to a looming recession, from huge deficits to massive new welfare programs.

A Republican operative allied with the worst forces in DC recently said: "Give what you can [to Ron Paul's opponent]. Ron Paul is running scared -- using his Presidential campaign's donors' money to subsidize a desperate last-minute attempt to save his Congressional seat."

That is a lie, of course. It is illegal to use presidential campaign donations in my congressional race. The congressional campaign has to stand on its own. But so far, we have raised only about a third of what a well-funded effort would need.

In my 10 terms in Congress, I have not only been able to serve my constituents, and help them, for example, negotiate federal red-tape. I have also been able to defend our principles of less spending, lower taxes, no inflation, and strict adherence to the Constitution. Some people in DC laugh at the idea that I should obey my oath of office, and ask first of any proposed legislation, is it constitutional? But I know that you share my support for the vision of the framers.

My friend Congressmen Wayne Gilchrest (R-Maryland) was just defeated in his primary election by a neocon fraud similar to the one I face. My friend Walter Jones (R-North Carolina) is under heavy pressure as well. People like our hand-picked opponents will do anything to gain and keep power. They represent everything that is wrong with DC.

If I am defeated in the upcoming congressional primary, our ideas will be held to have been defeated as well. It will be proclaimed from the rooftops in DC that such "ridiculous and outmoded notions" as the free market, sound money, personal liberty, limited government, and a pro-American foreign policy are through.

I am determined not to let this happen. All that you and I believe in is far too important to the future of our country, and to everyone and everything we love, to let the neocons dance on its grave.

Please, help me stop the lies, the distortions, the pressure groups, the special interests that benefit from DC rip-offs. There is still time to run radio and tv ads, to set up phone banks, to get out the vote. But unless you help, my reelection to Congress may be in jeopardy. Please help me return to Congress to fight for the people of my district, and for the ideas that can save our country from the path to trouble we are now on.

I hesitated to ask you, since you have already done so much. But my wife Carol said, "When you need help, you ask your best friends." So I do ask you, to hold out your hand in support.

Please give today http://www.ronpaulforcongress.com, as generously and as quickly as you can.

Sincerely,

Ron
V!

Posted by Paul Bear (www.RonPaulite.com)

Break The Matrix Update #1

This from Trevor Lyman:

Update No. 1: Taking Back The Media—Here’s How

Unless there’s a delegate revolt at the convention, Ron Paul will not be on the presidential ballot in November, 2008. The mainstream media has done its job, and Dr. Paul’s message has been effectively stifled, ridiculed, marginalized and ignored by the powers that be. The result? Those many millions of Americans who receive their news from mainstream media sources were shut out from the opportunity to hear the wonderful words of freedom, prosperity, peace and hope. We congratulate our adversaries. They appear to be closing in on an important victory. But in fact, they’re not winning at all. It’s only for the moment. Because we’re taking our country back.

To Our Subscribers and Supporters: We Say Thank You

In less than a week since our initial website posting of Breakthematrix.com we have received nearly 3,500 stock subscriptions and many hundreds of emails offering support, advice, talents and help. To our friends and colleagues in the grassroots, we say a heartfelt “thank you.” Your expressions of encouragement are inspiring indeed.

Please continue to write to us. It is not yet time to respond individually to your emails, but we’re reading and considering every one. We are creating a database with your ideas, suggestions and skills. Patience please. We’re moving forward one step at a time, and not everything can happen at once. The directions and goals are clear to us—but, of course, it’s implementation that presents the challenge. So these are our ideas.

This Is What We Plan To Do

We’re starting up a media company through the vehicle of an initial public offering of stock. Go to our website at Breakthematrix.com for an overview outline of our thinking. And here’s more.

Our plan is to develop and broadcast high quality radio and television shows on the Internet, and then distribute/market that content “off Internet” to the mainstream American audience in their households, cars, and daily lives. Our shows will be wide ranging: radio talk; comedy; satire; music; history; human interest—the list of potential show topics is endless. We plan to start out modestly, focusing first on the easier formats and then working our way up to the more challenging (and expensive) genres. Similarly with our distribution strategy, we will begin with those “off Internet” specialty audiences and specific test market locations that can be reached most easily and cost effectively, then build from there. Obviously, our content must be entertaining if it is to succeed in a highly competitive marketplace. We’ll need to develop media personalities, and stars, and talent, and artists. So we’re trying to build a community. Social networking will be an essential component of our business plan. Creative people are out there, all across our great country, and we’re convinced they are looking for opportunity to develop and share their talents. They will find us; and we will find them. Content creation and community building—our first and most important goal.

The development of a high quality technical platform for producing and distributing our shows is an essential step in the process. On this key point, the news is good. Existing technologies for production and distribution of radio and television content are already in place and available for use. All across the web we find systems, entities and individuals with creative ways and means of producing and transmitting content. There’s no need to reinvent the wheel. Our plan is to utilize the tools that are out there; to build a platform with existing technology; and to use mainstream media outlets that are presently available and are themselves seeking and searching for high quality content. There is no need to buy and own high overhead terrestrial radio stations, TV networks, large studios or the like. Not in the beginning, at least. Web based content creation and cost efficient distribution strategies are the way of the future, in our opinion, and this approach frees us to capitalize quickly on newly developing content delivery technologies as they emerge down the road.

Advertising and marketing will be at the core of our revenue model, just as they are for the old media entities. The logic of marketing is simple and straightforward. If our content captures an audience, the advertisers will follow. The reverse, of course, is equally true. If our content is dull and pedestrian, there will be no audience, and there will be no advertisers. So it all comes full circle. Our success will be dependent on the quality of our content. And we believe this is precisely the area where our competitive advantage exists. We have the freedom message—the old media doesn’t. Do people really want to listen to the aging, empty words of Limbaugh, Hannity, Couric, and the like? Do people actually want more tired productions from the old Hollywood culture of Britney Spears, Steven Spielberg and (sadly) Disney Studios ? Or are they looking for something new; something fresh; something that carries with it a message of optimism and hope for the future? We believe the answer is obvious.

A Few Words for the Naysayers

Some commenters about Breakthematrix.com have told us it can’t be done. They write that our plans are unworkable; that we’re going to fail; that we’ll be corrupted by the system; or that Rupert Murdoch and his ilk will buy us out. To these commenters we say: we recognize your concerns. Breakthematrix.com proposes to develop a startup entity that’s still in formation. Only the best startups succeed; the ones with strong leaders and great ideas. The rest go bankrupt and fail. So the pessimists have a point. There is no guaranteed or easy pathway to success for our new entity. And the world of the media is a challenging place.

But to our pessimistic commenters, we offer some additional thoughts. Some thoughts about the times we live in, and the power of optimism and positive message. We believe our adversaries are weak, not strong. Our message of freedom, prosperity, peace and hope is fresh and compelling—theirs is old and tired. Our grassroots subscribers and supporters are motivated and creative—theirs are from the aging past. They control the government and media today—but we are the future. If you want some evidence on this point, just look at their champions in government, their leaders. Ben Bernanke and Henry Paulson in the finance sector. Laughingstocks; buffoons. John McCain and Mike Huckabee in the Republican Party. Warmongers; charlatans. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama in the Democratic Party. Ridiculous socialist fools. The very existence of such people creates endless opportunities for satire, amusement and delightful commentary. If this is the best our adversaries have to offer, we have every reason to be optimistic about our chances for success. They (and we) should be thinking of us buying out their media—not the other way around.

Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul called for stricter adherence to the Constitution during an impassioned speech about his political ideologies on Feb. 13 at Georgetown.

The Texas congressman positioned himself as leader of a revolution that would tout a return to constitutional principles with a small federal government, no income tax and more concentration on domestic, rather than foreign, matters. He blamed many of the country's problems on a willingness to ignore the founding fathers' intent and a willingness to weaken the Constitution with amendments.

"We've made one serious mistake -- we've ignored our Constitution," Paul said in a speech frequently punctuated by cheers and chants from the audience. "If you want to get back to the basics and restore the principles of this country and this republic, we have to obey the Constitution."

Though he is running on the Republican ticket, Paul identifies as a Libertarian, who advocate minimal government and social programs in favor of individual rights.

Freedoms are rapidly disappearing, Paul said, and Georgetown students should ask themselves one question: What should the role of the government be?

"The founders asked themselves that question and came up with a pretty good answer. They said the role of government should be one thing, to protect liberty," he said. "That should be the only purpose of government."

Freedom used to mean "freedom for you. You were in charge of your life and if you messed it up, it was your fault," he continued. "If there is one thing I hope to achieve in this campaign, it's to get people thinking what freedom is all about. The purpose of freedom is for us to lead our own lives, to promote our own virtue … Government interest destroys everything."

He pinpoints the start of trouble when the government declared rights to include access to education, jobs and medical care.

"What you have is a right to your life. That's what you have," Paul said. "If that were fully understood, you'd have a right to the fruits of your labor, and you would be able to keep everything you earn and not have to share it with the big government."

Paul came to Georgetown as part of the university's presidential candidate lecture series. He is the second candidate to speak after Democrat Bill Richardson, who has since dropped out the race.

Enthusiastic supporters greeted Paul in Gaston Hall by chanting his name. Much of Paul's base includes younger voters who have flocked to his Web site and set donation records -- a $4.2 million take on Nov. 5, 2007 is most a GOP candidate has raised on a single day. The congressman said his message resonates strongly with Americans who want a different form of government that puts its citizens above foreign engagement.

Paul said military personnel are embracing that point in particular, and claimed he has received more donations from that group than all other candidates combined. However, research from the Houston Chronicle found this is only from donors who self-identified as military personnel, something that is not required, and many donors are civilian employees.

In a wide-ranging speech that touched everything from the war in Iraq to abortion to tax policies, Paul reiterated that the current generation of Georgetown students will pay the price for what he called mistakes of the government. He pointed to overspending, borrowing money from foreign governments and a financial strain on the middle class as unsustainable practices that will have significant fallouts.

While acknowledging he is not the front runner for the Republican nomination, Paul said his principles are stirring supporters' passion about what the United States could accomplish.

But the night was not without detractors. To a mix of applause and boos from the audience, one Georgetown student questioned the candidate about racist and homophobic slurs that appeared newsletters published by Paul in the 1990s. Though Paul has since said he did not write the articles in question, the student pushed to know why Paul did not denounce the writings years ago when first confronted.

The congressman said it was a mistake and blamed the comments getting published on time constraints during his time as publisher. Paul also called himself "probably the biggest champion of rights for everybody."

"A true Libertarian," he said, "is incapable of being a racist."

Dear [Paul Bear],

It is a crazy day here at the American Freedom Campaign, but I wanted to share some great news with you. Today, the U.S. House of Representatives finally passed the contempt resolution against White House officials Josh Bolten and Harriet Miers! As you know, the American Freedom Campaign -- backed by all of you -- has been pushing for this vote for months. Congress has taken a stand in support of our system of checks and balances and we all have reason to celebrate.

I would personally like to thank everyone who took the time to send an email to Congress, urging passage of this contempt resolution. Over the past few months, AFC supporters have sent about 19,000 emails on this issue. This caught the attention of the popular Capitol Hill newspaper, Roll Call, which this morning cited these 19,000 emails as part of the reason the resolution made it to the floor. We are a young organization, but we are having a serious impact in Washington!

As my time is limited, I thought I would paste below much of our press release we sent out today. It provides some additional information about the vote along with our reaction to it.

As always, thank you for all of your support. If this victory inspires you to help support our organization financially, please click on the following link.

Best,
Steve

Steve Fox
Campaign Director
American Freedom Campaign Action Fund

=================

American Freedom Campaign media release, February 14, 2008

WASHINGTON - Today, by a margin of 223-32, the U.S. House of Representatives, through the adoption of a self-executing rule, passed two resolutions related to the refusal of two White House officials to comply with congressional subpoenas to testify before Congress last year. The first resolution directed the U.S. Attorney in Washington, D.C. to bring criminal contempt charges against White House chief of staff Joshua Bolten and former White House counsel Harriet Miers to a grand jury. The second resolution authorizes the House general counsel to bring a civil suit against the White House to settle the question of whether the testimony of Bolten and Miers should be covered by executive privilege.

"After months of frustration, we are pleased that the House has finally passed these important resolutions," said Steve Fox, campaign director for the American Freedom Campaign. "In order for our system of checks and balances to be effective, Congress must have oversight over the executive branch. When Bolten and Miers -- with the encouragement of the President -- refused to comply with the congressional subpoenas last summer, they were tacitly saying that this oversight power no longer existed. If they are not held in contempt -- and prosecuted in the courts -- our Constitution will have been defiled."

While the American Freedom Campaign is pleased by the outcome of the vote, it is disappointed by the fact that only three Republicans voted in favor of these resolutions. Worse, House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) stood on the floor of the House and asked members of his party to walk out of the chamber and skip the vote entirely. All but 34 Republicans complied with this request.

"This should not have been a partisan issue," Fox continued. "This is an historic dispute between two branches of government. Both Democratic and Republican members of Congress should stand up for the American people and for the institution in which they serve. Any Republican who failed to vote in favor of this resolution has expressed his or her support for an impotent Congress during an Obama or Clinton administration. Such a development would be just as damaging for our nation as an impotent Congress under President Bush."

"Those members of Congress who walked out on this vote, have turned their back on the Constitution itself," Fox added. "They have violated their oath to 'support and defend the Constitution' and do not deserve to represent the American people. Again, this is not a partisan matter. We would say the exact same thing if Democrats walked out on a vote to defend the oversight powers of Congress under the Constitution."

The American Freedom Campaign has been one of the most aggressive organizations in the country pushing its members to stand up for our system of checks and balances. Since November, nearly 19,000 emails have been sent from AFC supporters to their U.S. representatives, urging them to pass the contempt resolution.

With your participation, the American Freedom Campaign can help stop one of the most outrageous political power grabs in this nation's history. At stake is not only our Constitution, but also the lives of Americans. Please continue reading this alert and then take immediate action by clicking on one of the links below.

Recently, I wrote to you about President Bush's plan to sign an agreement with the Iraqi government, making long-term economic and military commitments, without congressional approval. The negotiations over this agreement continue and the final outcome may not be known for months.

What is known for certain, however, is that the Bush administration cannot be trusted. That is why three members of the U.S. House of Representatives are poised to introduce a resolution that would make it absolutely clear that President Bush CANNOT, under the Constitution of the United States, make long-term, binding military or economic commitments to a foreign government without congressional approval.

Click on the following link to urge your U.S. representative to co-sponsor this resolution and push for its immediate consideration on the House floor:

http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/o/2165/t/1027/campaign.jsp?campaign_KEY=22955

Since my last email on this subject ("Tell Congress: George Bush is not king," January 28), the Bush administration has started to backtrack on its contention that it could make certain military commitments to Iraq without congressional approval.[1] While this is certainly a good sign -- and we should all be proud that we helped change their tune -- it would be foolish to take the administration at its word. Instead, Congress must proactively assert its own authority under the Constitution and clearly convey its position to the public.

A resolution proposed by Congresswomen Barbara Lee, Lynn Woolsey, and Maxine Waters would accomplish these objectives. As stated in the resolution itself, its primary purpose is to reaffirm "the importance of following constitutional processes when the United States Government makes national commitments regarding the use or maintenance of the United States Armed Forces." This resolution is not "anti-war;" it is "pro-Constitution."

The House needs to pass this resolution. And the more co-sponsors it has, the more likely its passage becomes.

So please send an email to your U.S. representative today and urge him or her to co-sponsor this important piece of legislation. Just click on the following link to get started:

To All Ron Paul Supporters And Our Friends In The Grassroots

This is the beginning, ladies and gentlemen. The beginning of the end for the stranglehold of the mainstream media. The beginning of the end for the masters in high places. The beginning of the end for the media blackout of the values and philosophies expressed by Ron Paul and other political candidates that share his views. The beginning of the time when we take our country back.

It starts right here, at BreakTheMatrix.com. We are forming a grassroots organization and movement that will carry the words and values of freedom off the Internet and out to those millions of Americans who only receive their news and entertainment from mainstream radio and television. As Dr. Paul himself said so well on February 9, 2008: “The neocons, the warmongers, the socialists, the advocates of inflation will be hearing much from you and me.” Indeed. The tired, empty mantras of “right and left,” of “conservative and liberal,” of “Democrat and Republican,” will no longer stand unchallenged in our mainstream media outlets. Freedom, prosperity, peace, hope—the great ideas are coming to America.

Here’s How

We’re starting our own grassroots media company. Basic Media, Inc. (in formation) will create, build and connect Internet based radio and television outlets for freedom voices and faces around the United States and worldwide. The newly forming company will develop a wide ranging array of interesting and entertaining content on the web, and transmit our shows to mainstream “off the Internet” people through a variety of communications technologies and strategies. We’re talking right now to syndicators, producers, advertising specialists, and our many grassroots friends about how this goal can best be achieved. These are friends with ideas; with skills; and with vision. Friends who understand how to develop and utilize top of the line content and the technologies needed for creation and transmittal of entertaining and informative radio and television shows to a “non Internet” mainstream audience. Very simply, we’re creating a new media network. And we’re inviting you to be part of it.

The Internet prototypes are already in existence. We in the grassroots have watched them take root over the course of the Ron Paul presidential campaign—and what tremendous work the early media pioneers have been doing! Two online radio stations have been up and running for months at ronpaulradio.com and rprradio.com. These volunteer radio outlets have provided a platform for dozens of outstanding radio hosts who spread the news of our Ron Paul movement 24/7 across the worldwide web. And the growth of online video capability has been even more impressive. The spontaneous creation of Youtube content about Ron Paul and his message is a grand story in its own right. Myspace.com has provided some powerful tools. And Justintv.com has broken new ground every day with video streams broadcasting in real time from events in the Ron Paul campaign. The core technologies are already in place for high quality content creation and delivery on the web, and Basic Media, Inc. will take this process to the next higher level with syndication and delivery platform strategies that carry our message to the radios and television sets of every household in America. Break the monopoly of the establishment media! Break the wall of silence that stifles voices of truth in our nation! Break the matrix. With Basic Media, Inc.

While “off Internet” content delivery is our first and most readily achievable goal, there is a second core aspect to what we’ll be doing in the new company. This whole process is all about organization, and communication, and the implementation of social networking tools that will bring people together as a positive force for change in America. There are many of us now. We are all across the country. So we need to find each other; to do business together; to share stories and strategies; and to build this grand freedom movement on a going forward basis that will flourish and thrive long after the 2008 presidential campaign is over. The inspiring work of grassroots organizers at ronpaulforums.com; at dailypaul.com; at meetup groups; and at other locations all across the Internet has shown us the great power of networking tools that are already in existence. The early organizers have started a process, and there is much to build upon. But the movement for change is barely beginning, and there’s so much more that we can do to bring people together. Building a nationwide/worldwide community—the second key goal of Basic Media, Inc.

Rick Williams and Trevor Lyman are the initial organizers and executive officers of the new entity in formation. For over 34 years, Mr. Williams has been a practicing lawyer in Los Angeles, California. He is a graduate of UCLA School of Law (JD 1973), where he served on the Board of Editors of the UCLA Law Review. Mr. Williams was a business administration major at Washington State University (BA 1969), and he worked in the finance and accounting group at Shell Oil Company before entering law school. Mr. Williams is an avid student of the Austrian school of economics, and he hosted radio shows throughout the Ron Paul presidential campaign talking about the Federal Reserve system and the practices of our bankers. Trevor Lyman became widely known as a grassroots fundraiser for the November 5 moneybomb, the Teaparty moneybomb, and RonPaul Blimp.com. Mr. Lyman has been the subject of numerous media profiles and interviews as a result of his efforts, and he is perhaps the most recognizable name and face in the grassroots movement. You’ve seen what Trevor Lyman has done, and you know the results that he achieved for the Ron Paul campaign. Rick Williams and Trevor Lyman have been two of the activists, but we’re not here to speak of the past. The future is what matters. So this is what we’re planning to do.

Here Are the Specifics

Basic Media, Inc., the new corporation in formation, will be structured to create and transmit top quality radio and television shows using Internet technology platforms. We hope to draw from the enormous pool of talent that already exists in the freedom movement, and capture the very best content for packaging and distribution to mainstream radio and television outlets off the web and across the United States. Our “off Internet” distribution opportunities are wide ranging and diverse—everything from nationwide/worldwide satellite delivery to locally owned radio and television stations. We’ll pick and choose. We’ll select and utilize the most valuable and efficient delivery strategies that are available for our content.

How about cash flow? Like any other media outlet, our revenues will derive primarily from the sale of advertising time. Basic Media, Inc. will be operating as a “for profit” business, and isn’t that what it’s all about? Our goal and objective is to create and deliver high quality content, spread the values and philosophies that we believe in, and make a profit in the process. There are no guarantees of profitability, of course, and we all must recognize that media advertising is a highly competitive market. The effort to achieve profitability will be challenging, and we should not fool ourselves into thinking that high paying advertisers will magically appear on our doorstep. But advertisers are constantly looking for emerging markets and new ways to get their messages out to the community. And for the most part, existing media entities don’t own their advertisers. If we capture a mainstream audience, we believe the advertisers will follow. This is how the matrix can be broken.

Basic Media, Inc. is not a political entity, and we will not affiliate with existing or future campaigns of Ron Paul or any other candidate for elective office. We will fully and cheerfully comply with all “equal time” requirements of the Federal Election Commission and other election authorities. Indeed, we welcome the opportunity to compare (and contrast) our values and philosophies of freedom, prosperity, peace and hope with those of candidates seeking election under the banner of any political party. We can sponsor debates; host candidate forums; and provide analysis of candidate positions. Our content delivery platform can be used to shed the light of truth on any serious candidate for office, and we will work to replace the existing closed media system with a free marketplace of political ideas. Picture, for example, a debate session organized by Basic Media, Inc. where Ron Paul, John McCain and Hillary Clinton/Barack Obama all receive “equal time.” An intriguing thought, isn’t it? Nothing more need be said on the subject of political activism.

In a few supporter forums the idea is going around that one way to help Ron Paul might be to vote for Mike Huckabee in the hope that if Huckabee wins enough delegates we might get a brokered convention in the fall. Most of the supporters who like this idea at least say that it should only be tried in those winner-take-all primary states where Ron Paul has the least favorable odds.

I strongly advise against this tactical voting. Ron Paul is serious when he says he wants to win every possible vote as well as every possible national delegate. That includes your vote, even if the state you’re in presents seemingly unsurmountable odds against Dr. Paul. Our candidate is fighting hard for the nomination, and his goal, which should be our goal, is not to try to create a brokered convention, but to win every vote he can. The nomination is at stake, and much more is at stake too, including the future of the Republican Party and the future of the Republic. To build up the Ron Paul revolution, we need to show as much strength as possible in every contest, and we need the support and loyalty of everyone who wants to get back to the Constitution.

The deal worked out between our delegates and Mike Huckabee’s in West Virginia was one thing. Ron Paul was eliminated in the first round of voting and did not appear on the ballot in the second round, so our delegates who voted for Huckabee were not deserting Ron Paul — and, crucially, they were voting for Huckabee only because Huckabee’s people promised three national delegates for Dr. Paul. That kind of bargaining is sound. But voting for a candidate other than Ron Paul when there isn’t any chance of getting delegates for Dr. Paul, merely in the hope of having a brokered convention, only weakens the Ron Paul movement rather than strengthening it. We need every vote.

The same goes for leaving the Republican Party and registering as something else. Ron Paul has said how much he respects third parties. But Dr. Paul is in a fight to take back the Republican Party, and to do that he needs all of us to stay with him. I know this can be unpleasant — I registered as an independent when I moved to Delaware last year, and had to switch my registration back to the Republican Party that had left me years before in order to vote for Ron Paul. But however large the problems of the Republican Party may be (and they’re titanic) the one man in whom I have confidence to bring the party back to small-government, non-interventionist, constitutional principles is Ron Paul. If he’s not going third party, neither am I.

Tomorrow there are critical contests in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. If you live in those states, get out and vote — for Ron Paul.

V!

Posted by Paul Bear (www.RonPaulite.com)

A Brand New Video Message From Ron Paul

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryMliyeIDp4

V!

Posted by Paul Bear (www.RonPaulite.com)

Ron Paul's CPAC Speech--Part 1

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfUf_Gyth2E

V!

Posted by Paul Bear (www.RonPaulite.com)

ALERT!

A few news sources are misreporting Ron Paul’s e-mail from last night. The presidential campaign is not ending, not being suspended, and not even drawing down. It’s slimming down and ramping up — with over twenty states having already voted, we’ve shed staff, and we’re concentrating financial and organization resources on the remaining states. We’re going to the convention, and we’re fighting for every vote and every National Delegate along the way.

Republicans do not want John McCain to be their nominee. He has only been able to become the front-runner because the field was so divided and because he’s a media darling. We can see just how unpopular McCain is in the heartland by his performance in the Kansas caucuses today. Kansans resoundingly rejected the Arizona senator, and McCain’s big wins so far have mostly been in blue states — states he won’t win in November if, heaven forbid, he’s the Republican nominee.

Republicans want and need an alternative. Some people think Mike Huckabee provides an alternative to McCain. But Huckabee, who now tries to sound like Ron Paul when he talks about abolishing the IRS, raised taxes in Arkansas and vastly expanded spending in that state when he was its governor. Huckabee is no alternative at all. Ron Paul, on the other hand, has never voted for a tax increase, never voted for an unbalanced budget or for an unconstitutional war or government program.

At stake here is not just the Republican nomination — which McCain still has not locked up — but the future of the Republican Party and, much more importantly, the future of our liberties. We have to organize in every single state, including the ones that have already voted in the primaries and caucuses, to continue the fight to take back the Republican Party and to ensure that Ron Paul’s principles, the principles of Washington and Jefferson, prevail. For the sake of that cause, Ron Paul’s campaign continues, all the way to the convention.

To the trenches, troops! COURAGE!

V!

Posted by Paul Bear (www.RonPaulite.com)

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PAULITES VOTE ONLY RON PAUL!!!

This has been an eye-opening election season--eye-popping--in exposing the election-ary corruption taking place behind
